I picked this book as the topic that the book is dealing with was considered very important to all of us. In 2022, after around two years of an unprecedented global pandemic, many people feel isolated and lonely. I think that the current COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the changes in our lives which already have begun and continued with the advancement of information technologies. People say we are living, so-called, in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, and we don’t know how we will live in the future, that is, in thirty or forty years later. Somebody expects AI and robots will take many jobs away from humans, and a great majority of future humans, deprived of manpower in physical and mental abilities, can fall into surplus humans. If that happens, can human dignity be maintained as it is now?
